Film!

Woo! I checked out the photos that Vlad developed for me today. Well, only five of them, of which one I quite like... the others are okay, but nothing special.

They were on ISO400 Tri-X and I was fairly unimpressed with the contrastyness and seeming lack of uber-grain. But now that I've pulled some curves and done some sharpening I love the result... it's completely different from digital, and this is in a good way.

Here is a photo I took of Zeynep when we wandered around Manchester taking photos:

There are some funny marks on it, and Vlad has told me that the OM-10 is leaking light (I already checked and will only cost £6 to get this fixed), which doesn't help. But the rest I really like... it's pretty cool stuff.

Maybe I'll play around with this camera a little bit more now. Who knows... next post might be "Woo! The darkroom is ace!"
