Well, I'm back in Manchester again. It's pretty odd that I can notice funny smells after I've been back home for a little while. I think it is mostly curry and takeaway, but I don't get those smells in Howden.
The weather is absolutely amazing too... I had a quick wander around earlier on this evening and it's all so nice and warm. Great weather for wandering around, really.
What have I been up to? Not a lot... I've seen Ice Age 2 with Leila (we watched the first one with a few other people years and years ago) as well as had a few drinks and I also met up with Young Ben for the evening, which was a change. But otherwise not a great deal.
Xiao is back in Manchester tomorrow (well, today, now), which should be good. I wish I could nip on over to China for a couple of weeks during Easter.
I've got about a week left now in which to do some major catching-up with project work and my final project report. I'm a bit behind but fairly confident I can get it all sorted in time.
Right now I'm in the middle of recompiling just about every package on noisy, the main CompSoc server, in an attempt to fix the mysterious Apache SSL and OpenLDAP database breakage. I think it's down to some changes to the db42 and db43 ports, so I'm rebuilding everything I can in order to get it sorted. If it's not, then it's going to be a little embarrassing as I can't seem to find any useful debugging information to help me.
Anyway, back to rebuilding and War of the Worlds (which isn't as bad as Vlad made out).
