Legal tussle
I have received an email from the lady photographer from the Fair Trade photoshoot and she is upset about the comment I made to her friend (the organiser of the event) regarding her shooting auto with the studio strobes.
The organiser asked to meet Vlad and I later on today so we shall see how this roles out.
Not exactly what I was looking for but I have been accused of being rude, arrogant and immature, not to mention that she has accused me of slandering her to her friend. Quite a lot for early Friday morning but for the time being I have drafted a reply fully explaining my comment, which I stand by, although I might have liked to change the timing of. To cut a very long story short I expressed to the organiser that I had doubts about the resulting exposures on the photographer’s film. Specifically with regards to the high powered studio probes and as a result of shooting auto with such fast film.
I don’t want to get in to more trouble but I heard yesterday that the prints had come out okay, and the photographer confirmed that all shots had come out fine. My initial reaction was that it isn’t possible for all of the shots to have come out as the strobes were not consistently firing (one of the problems we had). I shall assume that she means all of the shots where the strobes fired.
I’ll be surprised if either the organiser or the photographer (or both) haven’t read my “Charity” entry. Again, I’ll leave that online and untouched as I don’t believe anything I have said there is unfair on anybody (and no names are named, anyway).
It’s now a quarter past four and I have to be up pretty early tomorrow. I’ll publish this entry later.
