Wish list

Want to buy me something? Here are a few things I quite want :)

  • I’d love a pair of good, solid stands for my Quad 11L ‘speakers. Currently they just sit on my desktop, which is far from ideal. Ideally I’d like something floorstanding with spikes (because I’ve heard they’re good)
  • Some one-on-one Chinese lessons
  • A Quad 99 CDP-2 that I can hook up with my Quad 303 and the ‘speakers
  • Steve McCurry has some great books… I have copies of Sanctuary, Portraits and South by Southeast but Monsoon and The Path to Buddha look excellent
  • Any photography book that covers Angkor Wat even half as well as Steve McCurry in Sanctuary would be great
  • Wong Kar-Wai’s Chungking Express. I already have As Tears Go By and 2046
  • I’m pretty much up-to-date with Haruki Murakami… unless you can find a copy of his 1973 novel, Pinball
  • An all-inclusive holiday to South Korea or Burma
  • A Nikon D3, 14-24 1:2.8, 24-70 1:2.8, 70-200 1:2.8
  • The moon… on a stick
